Amur Falcon

The Amur Falcon (Falco amurensis) is newest addition to the list of Singapore Raptors.

It is monotypic, being found from southeast Russia, China, North Korea and India, wintering in South Africa [1].

In Singapore, it is listed as a very rare vagrant.

It has distinctive red legs and cere.

It mainly inhabits open areas.

The only records are single birds on 21Nov2007 at Changi, 16Dec2016 at Seletar Dam, and 26 Nov 2017 at Tanah Merah Coast Road.
